Tucked away on Womanby Street behind a wall of graffiti, Cardiff’s Fashion Quarter is a superb place to find an eccentric gift this Christmas.

The recently opened Cardiff Fashion Quarter is a hive of vintage clothing, interesting collectables and novelty knick-knacks, the perfect place to pick up a Christmas gift that is a little bit different.

Made out of vintage button glued onto metal rings, these odd little rings are a great talking point and the fact that they’re handmade makes them that little bit more special. One of these would be a unique gift for someone unique.

Two: Pocket Emergency Kit £15

this small brown box contains everything you might need in an emergency: “A Rubber for a fresh start… a handkerchief to dry any tears… a lucky penny so that you are never broke… three marbles in case you lose yours… elastic to allow yourself to stretch to the limit… a harmonica to whistle to your own tune… string to tie it all together when things start to fall apart… and a flower to remind you that someone loves you.” all are hand produced by Alys Wall ‘The Pocket Pirate’.

These bowls are made from warped vinyl records, they would be a great addition to any discerning music fans home, they are perfect for holding fruit, keys, odds and ends or maybe even small musical instruments like kazoos and harmonicas.

There are a host of other things to peruse and buy in Cardiff’s Fashion Quarter, next time you’re out shopping head down Womanby Street for a look, you cannot miss it. One store is even offering a free candy cane with every purchase!
